  • Fresh noodles (such as Hong Kong-style, Shanghai noodles, chow mein, or egg noodles)
  • Neutral oil (like vegetable, avocado, peanut, canola, grapeseed, sunflower, or corn oil)
  • Garlic
  • Green onion
  • Bean sprouts
  • Soy sauce
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Sugar
  • White pepper (or black pepper)
  • Water
  • Sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds

Easy 10-minute Pan Fried Noodles Save

Instructions

  1. Noodle Preparation: If you're using fresh noodles, quickly blanch them in boiling water or even hot tap water to loosen. Drain them in a colander once loosened and set aside for stir-frying.
  2. Stir Fry: Heat neutral oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add finely chopped garlic and green onions and sauté until aromatic.
  3. Sauce: Mix together soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, white or black pepper, and water to create the savory sauce.
  4. Combine: Add the prepped noodles to the pan with the sautéed aromatics. Pour the mixed sauce over the noodles, tossing until the noodles are well coated.
  5. Final Touches: Introduce the bean sprouts to the pan, stir well until they're just heated through. Finish by drizzling sesame oil over the noodles, adding a sprinkle of sesame seeds for garnish.
